Prof. Giuseppe Bertagna (Università degli Studi di Bergamo)

Full Professor of Education, his research activity focuses mainly on the following three areas. The first is a theoretical investigation regarding educational epistemology. It is against this background that he carries out his teaching activity at the University of Bergamo in the degree course in Educational Studies. His second area of interest is the pedagogy of work. In this connection, he coordinates the International Doctoral School in Human Capital Formation and Labour Relations set up in 2009 through an agreement between the University of Bergamo, ADAPT (Association for International and Comparative Studies on Labour Law and Industrial Relations) and the Ministry for Education, University and Research.
The third area of interest regards pedagogy in schools. In this connection, he runs the Cqia (Academy for Teaching and Learning Quality) of the University of Bergamo, that carries out scientific and empirical research on issues related to school education and which offers first level and second level masters, as well as refresher courses and training for managers and school teachers of all levels.
