Prof. Nicole Maggi-Germain (Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, France)

Nicole MAGGI-GERMAIN is Associate professor in labour law at Université de Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne (https://www.univ-paris1.fr/recherche/page-perso/page/?tx_oxcspagepersonnel_pi1%5Buid%5D=nmaggi) and director of ISST – Institut des sciences sociales du travail since Septembre 2014 (https://www.univ-paris1.fr/fr/ufr/isst/). She is member of the research center Droit et changement social (UMR CNRS 6297/Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Ange Guépin, Nantes).

She also teaches labour law in the Master 2 at the Faculty of Law in Nantes, where she actually supervises five thesis.
She has been member of the Expert Working Group appointed by “France Stratégie” for working on the Compte personnel d’activité (CPA) and who submitted its Report to the Prime Minister Valls and to the Minister of Labour El Khomri on October 9th 2015 http://www.strategie.gouv.fr/commission-CPA.
Her researches are in the field of regulation of continuing vocational training, analysis of labour relations in the public sector and health at work. She has been for several years lecturer at Science Po (Paris), where she chaired a teaching module about this last topic.

Since 2015, she is member of the Executive Committee of the international network CIELO (Comunidad para la Investigación y el Estudio Laboral y Ocupacional http://www.cielolaboral.com).

She has directed or co-directed several reports for DARES (direction de l’animation de la recherche, des études et des statistiques, Ministère du travail), including Les évolutions du cadre juridique de la formation professionnelle continue: un changement de paradigmes ? She has edited, in 2014, with Anne Dufresne (sociologist, Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium), the collective volume Les relations professionnelles en Europe et en Amérique latine, PUR, coll. « Des Sociétés », 197 p.

She contributes on a regular basis with the scientific review Droit social. In the frame of this collaboration she has coordinated a number of special issues (le Compte personnel d’activité, octobre 2016; Communautarisme et fait religieux dans les relations de travail, septembre 2015 ; Réformer la représentativité des organisations professionnelles d’employeurs, mars 2014).

In 2010, she has been involved in a project about the evaluation of the new Labour Code coordinated by Lise Casaux-Labrunée (Nouveau Code du travail. Évaluation par les usagers et bilan des deux premières années d’application, Semaine sociale Lamy, Supplément n° 1472 – 20 décembre 2010).
